General
1.No smoking in the house please.
2. No camping in the grounds or camper vans. No naked flame fires on or around the grounds of The Waterhouse under any circumstances
3.The house sleeps up to 6. The number occupying the house must not exceed the number booked and only those named on the booking form are allowed to stay at The Waterhouse and no third party allowed to use The Waterhouse facilities
4. No furnishing or small goods are to be removed from the house
5.No animals allowed
6. No wetsuits or surfing equipment in the house no surf group bookings. Please use outside area for wetsuits
7. The mezzanine area is private and out of bounds to guests.
Booking
8. Booking – £300 (non-refundable) is payable at the time of booking to reserve the
house. The balance should be paid 3 months prior to your arrival. If the
booking is within 3 months of the start of your stay you will be asked
to pay the full amount. You will also be asked to complete a brief
booking form, completion of the form accepts these terms and conditions.
A £100 refundable deposit (refunded within 14 days of the end of your stay minus any costs incurred) is required on full payment date for any extra cleaning incurred by our housekeeper, breakages, damage or excess usage of electricity. Any breakages or damage caused in excess of the £100 breakages deposit must be paid for within 14 days of the end of your rentage or as soon as appropriate repair/replacement estimates have been sourced accordingly.
9.Booking – cancellation charges: Should it be necessary for you to cancel your booking the following cancellation charges will apply: Cancellation more than 3 months before – 25% of total rental. Cancellation between 1 and 3 months before - 50% of total rental. Cancellation less than 1 month before - 100% of total rental. However in the event that the dates are re-let at full price, all monies paid will be refunded less a 10% administration charge.Note: We recommend that you have holiday insurance and that you book the ferry (or plane) at the time of booking!Arrival and departure
10.The house is usually ready by 3.00pm. Checkout time is 10.00am of the day of departure. This can be varied by agreement depending on the arrival/departure days and ferry timetable.
11.You are
requested to leave the house in the same condition that you find it on
your arrival. We reserve the right to refuse or ask you to leave if any
terms and conditions are brokenDamage
12.Please advise us of any damage/breakages etc. so that repairs or
replacements can be effected for the next guests. You will be expected
to look after the house, fixtures and fitting and will be considered
liable for anything other than trivial damage/breakages. We, or our
agents, will be the sole arbiters of what is 'trivial'.Liabilities
13.Information provided to guests both prior to and after booking is
given in good faith, and we will, as far as possible, make sure it is
accurate. However we shall not be liable for any damage or loss
resulting from information given orally or in writing.
14.We will not accept liability or responsibility for any accident or injury to you, your family or friends, or loss or damage to personal property, however caused, during your stay.
15.In the unlikely event that The
Waterhouse becomes unavailable due to storm, flood, fire or other
unforeseen causes beyond our control, our responsibility and financial
liability shall be limited to the return of monies received. No monies will be refunded in the event of a pandemic or any such event which is beyond our control where travel to our accommodation is not possible. We reserve the right to ammend these condtions at any time and without notice.
